It’s a new year and a new division - RED Magazine
Stoke-based UNO Retail Solutions has already established itself as the fastest growing shop fitting company in the UK in terms of turnover. As a result of this success, Dominic Perks, Group Chief Executive, has invested in an exciting new division to continue to drive UNO’s organic growth and increase its market share. The new division, called UNO Interiors, will be based at new offices in the NEC area of Birmingham. “Whilst UNO Retail Solutions has captured much of the Convenience Store refit market, UNO Interiors will diversify our activities, offering a first-rate Project Management service for a wider range of interior fit out contracts in the Retail, Leisure
and Commercial Sectors”, Dominic Perks explained. “Attracting and retaining talented staff will be key to our success and we already have a great team in place”.
The Team
The new Division is headed up by Managing Director – Gary King. Prior to joining UNO, Gary was a Director of the Project Management Division of Alan Nuttall Group and Senior Executive for the Group’s Signage Division. Prior to joining the Nuttall Group, Gary was Regional Commercial and Financial Controller for Wilson Bowden Plc. The Operational side of the business is headed up by Operations Director – Dean Haynes. Dean has moved across
from the Retail Solutions Division as Senior Project Manager and has a wealth of experience within the industry working in various senior positions over the past 20 years. Other key members of UNO Interiors’ growing Development Team include Kevin Broadley, Gwyn Williams and Bryony
Chaplin and who all have a number of years experience within the industry. King enthuses, “We are committed to hiring the top talent in the industry – people who deliver innovative solutions for clients, and want to help us grow
into a market leader”.
First Class
King continues: “Our aim is to provide our Clients with a first class, professional service, offering a complete turnkey project management service, as main or principal contractor.” “With the depth of experience we have within our management team and the investment and commitment from the Group, we are capable of completing individual and multiple site roll-out projects with values of up to £10m+”. UNO Interiors is distinctive in that it has the added
advantage of having a first-class design and manufacturing facility at its HQ in Stoke, enabling it to manufacture and install bespoke and specialist joinery and system. Despite only launching at the beginning of February, King and his team have already successfully secured orders to the value of £1m. It looks like UNO Interiors is already flying.
